The One That Got Away – In Another Life – Katy Perry cover by: Andrea Shavonne Williams Posted: 08 Oct 2011 01:18 AM PDT
This is my cover of “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry. I love this song, I am also doing it as a request. I hope you like it;) BTW: Yes, I know I have a Band-aid on my forehead. Also, although I don’t know the song that well, I purposely changed a few words in this song to fit my personality better. (I own no rights to this song) Ihave to have surgery on my thyroid soon for what they tell me is Thyroid Cancer. They said it may affect my voice so I am trying to cover some of my favorite songs, the ones that have special meaning to me, and Requests. If you want me to cover a song for you just ask:) I am trying to cover 2 a day until my surgery. Hope you enjoy it. Luv ~ Andrea Shavonne
Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation brought amazing joy into 12-year-old Jeffrey’s life by providing him a unique Bear Hug. Jeffrey was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer in January this year. Though treated at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, he has been homebound for most of his treatment. Jeffrey had decided he wanted to meet Chicago Blackhawk Patrick Kane and touch the Stanley Cup. Bear Necessities began reaching out to contacts and supporters for help, and soon enough an anonymous supporter got us in touch with the Chicago Blackhawks. Jeffrey’s dream came true when Patrick Kane arrived at his house carrying the Stanley Cup. Kane was generous with his time and chatted about sports while Jeffrey touched the Stanley Cup. |

Port Clinton, touched by cancer Posted: 07 Oct 2011 10:01 PM PDT
Imagine belonging to a community where neighbors, friends and loved ones were all diagnosed with cancer. In 2008 the Ohio Department of Health reported that Ottawa County had the highest incidence of cancer in the nation. Midway through 2010, cancer cases are popping up in the county, including Port Clinton. Maria Claus Konoff, who has thyroid cancer, held a meeting Wednesday looking for community support in the city. Konoff is trying to find out why cancer is striking so many county residents. She is trying to find answers.
I had Thyroid cancer and im glad to be alive to tell everyone. but i should have been going to the doctors even if i had nothing wrong then they could had got in when it started |
